  3.復習上一課所學的句型。

  Step 2 Listen, read and say

  1.出示一組單詞卡片讓學生朗讀,然后板書

  再出示下組單詞卡片讓學生朗讀,然后板書:

  引導學生總結兩組單詞讀音規則,然后寫出音標 講解字母。在開音節和閉音節中的讀音規則。打亂卡片次序,讓學生讀準單詞。

  2.幻燈顯示下列兩組單詞,用對比的方法教學字母f,v的發音[f][v],并指出發育要領。打亂單詞順序,出示卡片,讓學生朗讀,并糾正錯誤發音。

  Step 1 Revision

  1.讓學生分別扮演角色表演第55課Part 3的對話(2-3組)。

  2.把學生的學習用品和服裝,包括coat, sweater等拿到教室前教師的講桌上,讓學生表演,在內容中反復呈現Whose句型、形容詞性物主代詞的和名詞性物主代詞。2-3組的學習中應包括學習較差的學生,學習較好的學生和學習較差的學生同在一組表演。激發學生的學習積極性。

  Step 2 Listen, read and say

  1.教師用幻燈片顯示單詞:car are class father讓學生朗讀,找出他們所含有的共同音素,并觀察是哪一個字母或哪一些字母,即字母組合發此音,教師總結,板書并領讀。

  讓學生看書跟錄音讀音標及單詞。做Ex.1,教師領讀,學生齊讀,并找出2-3名學生朗讀。

  Step 3 Find the words!

  1.教師提問:What can you see in the picture?(I can see a shirt.)

  Whose is it? (I think it’s Li Ming’s.)

  學生不知衣服屬于誰,他們可以猜想,沒有固定答案。

  Note: This lesson presents a long dialogue containing various structures and verb tenses the Ss have learnt.

  Step 1 Revision

  1 Revise What are you going to do this evening? etc. (SB page 13, Part 2. Get the Ss to ask each other in pairs about their plans for next week.)

  2 Ask What are you doing today/now? and get the Ss to ask each other in pairs.

  3 Get the Ss to ask each other about what they did last week.

  4 Ask randomly What are you going to do next Tuesday? What are you doing today? What did you do last Friday? etc. Then get Ss to ask the questions.

  Step 2 Presentation

  SB page 55, the first part of the dialogue. Speech Cassette . Books closed! Tell the Ss that Mr and Mrs Turner are on a train.(Write Mr and Mrs Turner on the Bb.)Ask Where is Mrs Turner's ticket? Play the tape for the Ss to find the answer.

  Ask What about Mr Turner's ticket? Play the tape again. Help the Ss to answer He can't find it!

  Books open! Let the Ss look at the dialogue for a moment, then play the tape again for them to listen and repeat. Let the Ss guess the meaning of conductor and thought. Then they practise the dialogue in pairs. Get some pairs to act it out.

  Step 3 Presentation

  Revise and practise this dialogue:

  A: May I borrow your pen, please?

  B: Certainly! Here you are!

  A: Thank you.

  Introduce this dialogue:

  A: May I borrow your ruler, please?

  B: Sorry, I can't find it!

  A: Oh, it doesn't matter.

  Go round the class and practise these dialogues.

  Get the Ss to give true answers!

  Step 4 Practice

  Play the tape of the second part of the dialogue for the Ss to listen and repeat. Get the Ss to practise the dialogue in threes, with suitable actions, and using their books for reference only.

  Explain the use of sir and madam.

  Step 5 Practice

  Revise locations, by placing objects around the room. Then ask Where's my book? Help the Ss to answer It's over there, behind the door! etc.

  Step 6 Presentation

  Play the tape of the third part of the dialogue and get the Ss to practise it in threes.

  Practise the fourth part of the dialogue in the same way. Explain that Better late than never! is an English proverb: see if the Ss can think of a Chinese equivalent.

  Finally, get the Ss to practise the whole dialogue in threes(one person can play both the conductor and the girl). Remind the Ss to look at the words in the book before they speak (so that they are not just reading aloud), and to perform suitable actions.

  Ask the Ss to give the dialogue a title.

  Step 7 Workbook

  Wb , E. 1—3.

  Do E.1 and 2 orally. Ex.2 may be done in pairs; check the answers with the whole class.

  For Ex. 3, do the first two sentences as a model, then let the Ss work alone or in pairs.

  Note: This lesson revises Shall we ...? and be going to.

  Step 1 Revision

  1 Check the homework.

  2 Books closed! Revise the names of animals that the Ss have learnt. Get a student who is good at drawing to draw these animals on the Bb. Ask Which is the smallest/biggest/strongest/nicest animal? Which is bigger, a tiger or a panda? etc.

  3 Briefly revise comparative and superlative forms of adjectives, including more/most; better/best.

  Step 2 Puzzle dialogues

  Review the ways of making a suggestion: Shall we…? Let's…Why not…? and What about…?

  SB page 27, Part 1. Ss work in pairs to match the dialogues . Then check the answers with the class. The answers are: 1-F, 2-E, 3-A, 4-C, 5-B, 6-D.

  Step 3 Reading

  SB page 27, Part 2. Say Look at the picture. What can you see?

  Tell the Ss Football is very popular in China . popular/'p&pju:l+/means many people like it. Ask What kind of football are they going to play tomorrow? Let the Ss read the first dialogue to find the answer. Ask What's the Chinese for “soccer”/“American football”?

  Draw two columns on the Bb. Head them Football and American football . Say Read the second half of the dialogue and find the differences between football and American football. Help the Ss to answer:

  Step 1 Revision

  Greet the class. Ask What's the date today?

  Help the Ss to answer, e. g. It's September 2nd, 1996. Keep doing this in every lesson from now on.

  Revise the names of objects by playing the What's in my bay? game. Collect a number of familiar items, discuss their colour, weight, size, etc. with the Ss and put the items in a bag. Then get the Ss to describe the items in the bag one by one.

  Teach tall in the same way, by drawing two boys, one tall and one short, on the Bb. Revise a piece of paper and teach a big/small piece of paper in the same way. Note the position of big/small before piece, not paper. Teach two/three pieces f paper (never papers).
