target abilities:
1. nurturing of the communicative ability of the students, by cooperation in groups.
2. developing the students’ skills of listening, speaking and thinking in english.
ⅲ.teaching procedures:
task 1:greeting and presentation
1.greet with the students.
2. presentation: present a conversation
t: what’s the weather like today?    s: it’s sunny
t: do you like rainy day?    s: no. i don’t
t: what kind of weather do you like?  s: i like sunny day
t: why?      s: because…
help student say: i like weather that is sunny. then ask several students to answer the questions.
task 2: pairwork
show the pictures to the students, ask the students to work in pairs to make up their conversations.
a: what kind of weather do you like?
 b: i like weather that is sunny…/i can play basketball…
task3: learning 1a
1. presentation
t: do you like music? would you like to listen music? let’s listen some pieces of music.
play the music for the students listening.
t: do you like this piece of music?
then teach the new words: prefer, lyrics
teach the sentences: i prefer/like music that: has great lyrics/isn’t too loud/i can sing along with/ i can dance to
2. groupwork
1. get the students work in groups to do 1a.
2. then make up conversations.
a: what kind of music do you like?
b: i like music that i can dance to…
task4 listening
1. show two pictures and tell the students: they are tony and betty. what kind of music do they like? do you know? let’s listen to the tape and finish 1b.
play the tape for the students listen and then check the answers.
task5 survey
get students to make a survey about what kind of animal they like, and make a report.
