※當(dāng)連接同時(shí)發(fā)生的一長一短兩個(gè)動(dòng)作時(shí)，用while或as引導(dǎo)時(shí)間較長的動(dòng)作。這個(gè)長動(dòng)作在時(shí)間較短的動(dòng)作發(fā)生之前就已開始。
e.g. while eddie was sleeping, hobo went to watch tv.
       as mother was cooking, mary went back.
※當(dāng)連接同時(shí)發(fā)生的兩個(gè)短動(dòng)作時(shí)，常用as。
e.g. as you see him, give him this letter.
※注意： while和as引導(dǎo)的狀語從句在時(shí)態(tài)上必須和主句保持一致。
4、掌握副詞比較級(jí)和最高級(jí)的用法。(注意與形容詞的比較級(jí)和最高級(jí)相聯(lián)系
副詞的比較級(jí)和最高級(jí)與形容詞的比較級(jí)及最高級(jí)的構(gòu)成方法相同，即單音節(jié)和部分雙音節(jié)副詞在詞尾加“er”、加“est”構(gòu)成比較級(jí)和最高級(jí)；多音節(jié)副詞在副詞之前加more和most 構(gòu)成比較級(jí)和最高級(jí)；以后綴ly結(jié)尾的副詞要用more和most。
e.g.  fast – faster  – fastest             early – earlier – earliest
late – later  – latest                beautifully – more beautifully – most beautifully
slowly – more slowly – most slowly     quickly – more quickly – most quic kly
另外還 有不規(guī)則副詞的比較級(jí)和最高級(jí)：
e.g. well – better – best        badly – worse – worst    much – more – most
little – less – least             far – farther – farthest
