 both（1）作代詞，意為兩個都，兩者都，雙方，同all和each一樣，一般位于助動詞和連系動詞之后，實意動詞之前。單獨作主語時，謂語用復數。

   you are both too young.你們兩個都太年輕。

   （2）作形容詞，意為兩者的，雙方的，修飾名詞時放在the,these或my等詞之前。

   both these are new.這兩個都是新的。

注意：both of 結構與all,each和most of結構一樣。

      both of + porn. (pl.)  / both of + the/her +n. 

       both of the flowers are very beautiful.= the flowers are both very beautiful.兩朵花都很漂亮。

 （3）not與 both 相連       部分否定“并非兩者都”，全部否定時用  neither… nor…

（4）both… and…    連并列成分，意為不僅。。。而且。。。，作主語時謂語動詞用復數形式。
