(1.) 依靠，依賴（on/upon）
rely on one’s own efforts. 依靠自己的努力
rely on sb to do sth. 依靠某人做某事
you may rely on me to help you. 你可以依賴我幫助你。
（2.）信賴，指望（on/upon）
you may rely upon my early arrival. 放心好了，我會早到的。

(1.)分解，分開
a word can be broken up into syllable. 單詞可以分成音節。
(2.)破碎，解體
the ship was breaking up on the rocks.船在礁石上撞毀了。
（3.）驅散
the police came and broke up the crowd. 警察來了，把人群驅散了。
（4.）放假
when does your school break up? 你們學校何時放假？
