language points:
1.he should rub white oil into his skin.他應該把白色的油擦在皮膚上。
▲rub 用動動詞,意思是“擦,擦凈,搓”。它的現在分詞是rubbing,過去式和過去分詞都是rubbed.如:
①he was rubbing his hands together 他正在搓手。
②he rubbed his hands with the soap.他用肥皂擦洗雙手。
2.pale 一詞的用法
▲pale 作形容詞用,意思是“蒼白的,暗淡的,白皙的”。如:
①he turned pale at the news. 他聽到那個消息面容失色。
②you are looking pale today.你今天看上去氣色不好。
③he grew pale with fear.他害怕得臉色發白了。
④the candle gives out pale light。那蠟燭發出微弱的燈光。
