stop的其它用法：
stop doing sth.
stop to do sth.
stop sb. from doing sth.
停止做某事
停下來去做（另外）某事
阻止某人做某事
can /could not stop doing sth.
還有“情不自禁/忍不住做某事”的意思
當她聽到這個消息時忍不住落下淚來。
she could not stop crying when she heard the news.
同義詞組: can /could not help doing sth.
當我們贏得決賽時我們不禁歡呼起來。
we couldn’t help cheering when we won the final.
9. the children clapped and screamed with joy when they saw their favourite characters.
with joy：“高興得……”為介詞短語，起副詞的作用，用來修飾動詞。
e.g.: 當媽媽告訴sam爸爸很快要回家時，他高興得叫了起來。
sam shouted with joy when his mother told him that his father would come back soon.
試翻譯：
當聽到這個消息時， 她高興得跳起舞來。
when she heard the news, she danced with joy.
當看到周杰倫，他們高興得尖叫起來。
when they saw jay chou, they screamed with joy.

he got up so late that he couldn’t catch the bus.
=he got up too late to catch the bus.

用法1：
so +形容詞或副詞+that 句子
so + 形 + a ( an ) +單可數名+that句子
so + many 或 few + 復可數名+that句子
so + much 或 little + 不可數名+that句子
e.g.:
he ran so quickly that we couldn’t keep up with him.
he is so strong a man that he can carry the big bag.
i’ve had so many falls that i’m black and blue all over.
there was so little water left that only small children and patients were given some.

such + adj. + 復數名詞+that句子
such + adj. + 不可數名詞+that句子
eg.
it is such a good book that every one wants to read it.
