            常用句型為“be amazed at/by  對(duì)…….. 大為驚奇
         eg:  i was amazed at/by the news. 
            =i was amazed to hear the news

4. audience  n.
（1）audience 是集合名詞，用做主語(yǔ)時(shí)，其謂語(yǔ)既可以用單數(shù)，也可以用復(fù)數(shù)。當(dāng)audience表示整體含義時(shí)，其謂語(yǔ)用單數(shù)；當(dāng)表示個(gè)體含義時(shí)，謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞要用復(fù)數(shù)
  eg: the audience was / were enjoying every minute of the performance. 觀眾對(duì)演出非常欣賞
      the audience are requested to be in their seats by8:00 觀眾要在八點(diǎn)前都入座。
（2）形容聽(tīng)(觀)眾人數(shù)多少時(shí)，通常用large,small等形容詞，注意不能用many修飾audience.
   eg: there was a large audience of young people at the pop concert.
 流行音樂(lè)演奏會(huì)上有大量青年聽(tīng)眾
the speaker had a small audience 這位演講者的聽(tīng)眾很少。
