a以輔音音素開(kāi)頭的單詞前加，an 用在以元音音素開(kāi)頭的單詞前，判斷一個(gè)單詞是元音開(kāi)頭還是輔音開(kāi)頭，要根據(jù)其讀音而不是根據(jù)字母。eg: an honest boy, a useful book there is an “ f ” in the word “ five ”. （二）第三人稱單數(shù)形式： 在動(dòng)詞原形后加-s : runs，likes以ch，sh，s，o，x，結(jié)尾的動(dòng)詞，在詞尾加-es : teaches，washes，goes，passes以輔音字母加y結(jié)尾的動(dòng)詞，先將y變i加-es : studies，tries以元音字母加y結(jié)尾的動(dòng)詞，在詞尾加-s : stays，plays 五. 動(dòng)詞過(guò)去式的變化：在動(dòng)詞原形后加-ed : watched以輔音字母加y結(jié)尾的動(dòng)詞，先將y變i再加ed : studied以e 結(jié)尾的動(dòng)詞，直接加-d : liked以重讀閉音節(jié)結(jié)尾且結(jié)尾只有一個(gè)輔音字母的，雙寫(xiě)此輔音字母后加-ed : stopped還有一些不規(guī)則變化：run-run，buy- bought，fall-fell 【典型例題】1. ___________ the street, there is a huge department. （a） a. at the end of b. in the end of c. at the end d. in the end at the end of 后加名詞，構(gòu)成地點(diǎn)狀語(yǔ)，表示在……的盡頭，in the end 是時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)，表示“最后” 2. we __________ that we can’t finish the work. （c） a. are afraid of b. were afraid of c. are afraid d. were afraid be afraid of 害怕……，be afraid that 恐怕……，本題由后面的can’t 可知是一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)態(tài)，意為：我們恐怕不能完成這項(xiàng)工作。
