step 2 fast reading
english is not only different from country to country, but also different from what it was before. read the title “the road to modern english” and predict (預測) what the passage is mainly about?
t: scan the text to find or make out a key sentence for each paragraph.
let the students find out key sentence of each paragraph or ask them to summarize the main point for each paragraph in their own words.
