課文譯文：
在最近幾次露面后，中國東北吉林省長白山的“天池怪物”又成了新聞。距當(dāng)?shù)氐穆糜无k公室主任孟凡迎介紹，最近有人看見怪物就在離湖邊十米的地方，怪物的顏色似乎是黑色的。他說：“大約有兩百多人從長白山的西峰看見過怪物，他像海豹一樣躍出水面。”盡管誰也沒有看清楚這神秘怪物的真面目，但當(dāng)?shù)匾晃粩z影師薛俊林聲稱：怪物的頭看起來像馬。
最近另有一次，一群戰(zhàn)士證實(shí)：他們看見湖的水面上有東西在游動(dòng)。正在湖邊行走的戰(zhàn)士看見怪物游弋了大約兩分鐘。其中一名戰(zhàn)士說：“怪物的顏色淺綠帶黑，圓形的頭上有十厘米的角。”
又一次報(bào)道來自李小和，當(dāng)時(shí)他和家人正在湖邊游玩。他說他看見原形黑色的東西在湖邊快速游過三四百米后潛入水中。十分鐘后，怪物再次出現(xiàn)，并出現(xiàn)了相同的動(dòng)作。李小和先生說他和家人看清楚了怪物，因?yàn)楫?dāng)時(shí)天氣好，湖水平靜。
