main task:
write a detective story for a writing competition at your school.
tasks:
1. use reported speech to talk about what someone else said.   用間接引語談論其他人說的話。
2. use reported speech to report questions.    用間接引語來轉述問題。

二. 重點、難點：

b:  reported speech with tense changes.  改變時態的間接引語。
（一）我們由直接引語改為間接引語時，也就是用自己的語言來轉述別人的話時，時態作如下改變：
（直接引語）                   （間接引語）
1、一般現在時     改為            一般過去時
    the witness said “i’m scared.”
the witness said (that) he was scared.
2、現在進行時     改為             過去進行時
“i’m doing my homework,” said she.
she said (that) she was doing her homework.
3、現在完成時     改為             過去完成時
tom said, “i’ve received the letter.”
tom said (that) he had received the letter.
4、一般過去時     改為            過去完成時
“i didn’t see the cat,” said he.
he said (that) he hadn’t seen the cat.
5、一般將來時    改為          過去將來時 (would + v.)
“we’ll look for more clues,” said detective lu.
detective lu said (that) they would look for more clues.

（二）由直接引語改為間接引語時，時間副詞作如下改變：
