注意
continue后也可跟名詞或名詞性從句作賓語。跟從句時表示“接著說”。
he continued the work day after day.他日復一日地繼續那項工作。
he continued that he thought the government should pay more attention to the people’s health.他接著說他認為政府應該更多地關注人民的健康。
(2)after finishing school是時間狀語，相當于after they finish school，當從句中的主語與主句的主語一致，而從句中的謂語又是主動語態時，可以用動詞的—ing形式對從句進行省略。
they turned on the tv after entering the room.他們進入那個房間后打開了電視。
he left the office after locking the door.他鎖上門后離開了辦公室。

quite a few=a good few意為“相當多，不少”。
she has quite a few friends. 她有相當多的朋友。
quite a few people enjoy football。不少人喜歡足球。

be willing to…意為“愿意(做……)”，其后多跟不定式。
she's willing to help me in any way.她愿意以任何方式幫助我。
8. it is very important to dream, so hold on to your dream; one day they may just come true.有夢想很重要，所以堅持你的夢想，將來有一天，他們可能會成為現實。
(1)hold on to… 在句中表示“保持，堅持，繼續，不要放棄”。
you should hold on to your beautiful house.你不應該放棄你那座漂亮的房子。
注意
hold on to… 還可以表示“抓住(不放)，抓牢”。
hold on to my hand tightly when we cross this street.
穿過這條街道時緊緊抓住我的手。
he held on to the rope。他牢牢抓住那根繩子。
(2)come true意為“成為現實，實現”。
his words have come true.他的話成為了現實。
he said i would be a lawyer and it has come true.
他說我會成為一名律師，現在已經實現了。
