compare with…意思是“ 與……做比較”。在句中是過去分詞短語作狀語,此時with和to可通用。
eg   與我們的那條路相比,這條路繁忙得多 。

4 every student will have a computer at home  connected to inter-planetary network. 每個學生在家里有一臺連接星際網絡的電腦。
connect to 意思是“與……連接”。這里的connected to 是過去分詞后置作定語,修飾computer。當然我們也可以用connect … to…結構表示“把…和…連接起來 ”。
eg  江陰大橋把江陰和靖江連接了起來.
