use 的用法
①use…to do sth. = use… for doing sth. 用……做某事
he is using a knife to cut bread.
= he is using a knife for cutting bread.

②it is no use doing ( to do )… 做……是無用的（無益的）
it is no use crying over spilt milk.
不要為打翻的牛奶哭泣。（錯誤已鑄成，悔之無益）
注意：use n. 用途 this knife is no use.
useful adj. 有用的 this is an useful book.

除了雙胞胎之外，每個生物都有自己的dna. (l10)
※except for “除……以外，只是”, 常放句首，排除不同類的。
except 可放句中。排除同類。
①he is a good man except for hot temper. 除了脾氣暴躁外，他是個好人。
②your article is quite good except for several spelling mistakes.
你的文章很好，只是有幾處拼寫錯誤。
③everybody is here except li lei. 大家都在，除了李雷。
※ 辨析：every 與 each
every 與 each 都可與單數名詞連用，且意義相近，表示“每個”，
但是every 強調整體，each 則表示個別。
如果不特別強調某一意義時，every和 each 可以互換。如：
①we want every child to succeed. 我們希望每個孩子都成功。
②each child will find his own personal road to success.
每個孩子將會找到他個人的成功之路。
each 可以指兩個或兩個以上的人或東西，every 卻不能指兩個，只能指三個以上的數量。
