divide vt. & vi. (常與in, into 連用)分開；劃分
let’s divide ourselves into several groups. 我們分成幾個小組吧。
how shall we divide up the labour in the work? 我們怎樣分工？
注意：divide 和 separate 均表示“分開”
divide 指的是把人或物分成若干份，常與介詞into 連用；
separate 指的是將一個整體的物品分開或將兩個靠近的物品分開，
使其不在一起，常與介詞from 連用。
①let’s divide these books into ten parts. 我們把這些書分成10份吧。
②a fence separated the cows from the pigs. 圍欄把奶牛和豬分開了。
13. else 的用法
else 表達“其他的，其余的”的含義，通常用在不定代詞（something, anything, nobody, somebody, nothing等）或疑問代詞（what, which , who 等）之后。
①do you want something else? 你還想再要點別的嗎？
②i am the only person here，there is nobody else. 只有我在這兒，再沒別人了。
③what else do you want? 你還想要什么？
④who else will be here? 還有誰會來？
提示：else 與 other 都可以表示“別的”。但是other 修飾名詞，位于名詞的前面；
else 修飾不定代詞、疑問代詞或疑問副詞，必須位于這些詞之后。
⑤what’s that in your the other hand? 你的另一只手里拿著什么？
⑥do you have anything else to say? 你還有別的事情要說嗎？
⑦who else can play the piano? 還有誰會彈鋼琴？
