1. are you getting ready for the spring festival? 你們在準備過春節嗎?
ready是形容詞（adj.），意思是“有準備的；準備好的”，可與系動詞 be/get和介詞for構成短語（be） ready for （準備好）和get ready for （做好……的準備）。be通常強調“狀態”，而get 強調“過程…進入或變為某種狀態”。如：
    are you ready for the trip?  你準備好旅行了嗎?
    the boy is getting ready for bed. 這男孩正準備上床。 
2. he’s at work.  他在上班。
   此句的含義相當于he is working.
3. we also buy clothes and everyone has a haircut. 我們還要買衣服，并且人人理發。
have a haircut意思是“理發”，表達此意還可說get/have one’s hair cut/done
若到理發店理發，可說go to the hairdresser’s/barber’s: 如：
i have a haircut once a month. 我每月理一次發。
go and get your hair cut. 去理個發。
4. we watch tv and at midnight there are usually fireworks. 我們看電視，午夜放焰火。
firework  可數名詞，意思是“煙花/火；焰火”。爆竹（鞭炮）是firecrackers.
英文“燃放煙花爆竹”是set off fireworks and firecrackers.
