lesson 37. rich or poor? it doesn’t matter!
一. 學習目標:

1. why do i want to be a doctor? because i want to help the people who are sick.
我為什么想當醫(yī)生呢?因為我想幫助生病的人。
why是用來提問原因的,回答時常用because. 例如:
—why didn’t you go?
你為什么不去?
—because i was very tired.
因為我太累了。
who are sick是定語從句。修飾前面的the people!吧〉娜恕,也可以用the sick people來表示。
2. i might be a lawyer. 我可能當律師。
might, may的過去式,情態(tài)動詞,表示推測,比may的語氣弱。注意情態(tài)動詞后加原形動詞。例如:
he didn’t come because he might be ill. 他沒來可能是病了。
3. i would have an office at the very top.
我會在極高的頂部有一個辦公室。
very在此句中是形容詞“極端的”。另外還有“恰好的、真正的”等含義。
you’re the very man i want to see. 你就是我想要見的人。
4. i don’t think teachers are rich——not like lawyers and doctors.
我認為老師并不像律師和醫(yī)生那樣富有。
i think接表 示否定的句子時,往往采用否定轉(zhuǎn)移。i don’t think……。
例如:
i don’t think she can swim. 我想她不會游泳。
i don’t think he can speak english. 我認為他不會說英語。
i don’t think they are right. 我認為他們不對。
另外,teachers,以復數(shù)形式代表類別,前面不加“the”。例:
monkeys are clever. 猴子聰明。
i like apples. 我喜歡蘋果。
5. it would be great to have a happy family.
有一個幸福的家庭將會太棒了。
it是形式主語,指代后面的不定式短語to have a happy family.
it’s important to learn english well.
學好英語很重要。
