that’s such a pity! 那真是遺憾!2) such + ( adj.) + noun( pl.)e.g. i’ve never seen such beautiful jewels. 我從來沒有見過如此漂亮的珠寶.3) such + (adj.) + noun ( u )e.g. i can’t accept such excuse.我不能接受這樣的借口.so的用法  1) so + adj. + a/an + noun (+ as sb/sth).e.g. he’s not so good a player as his wife.他演奏得不如他的妻子好.2) so + many + noun ( pl.) / so + much + noun ( u )  e.g. there are so many books in the library. 圖書館有這么多的書.why is there so much water? 為什么有這么多的水?（由所給例子可看出，若沒有many, much的話，so后面不可以加復(fù)數(shù)名詞及不可數(shù)名詞。） 3. make sure of sth. 確定… 確保…e.g. do you know when the train leaves? you’d better make sure of the time. 你知道火車離開的時(shí)間嗎? 你最好確定一下.make sure (that)…e.g. we’ll start out tomorrow morning. i’ll try to make sure (that) the visit goes well. 我們明早出發(fā), 我會(huì)確保這次旅行順利.we made quite sure (that) my father didn’t notice anything.我們非常確定我的父親不會(huì)注意到任何東西.6.       省略不定式時(shí), 只省略動(dòng)詞, 保留to.e.g. – would you like to go to the cinema with me? --i’d love to, but i have a lot of homework to do.you used your father’s computer when he told you not to.7.       prove (that…) 證明…e.g. if you tell your father the truth, you’ll prove that you’re honest.如果你和你父親說了實(shí)話, 你就證明了你是誠(chéng)實(shí)的.prove to be…e.g. he proved himself to be an honest man. 他證明了他自己是個(gè)誠(chéng)實(shí)的人.   my advice proved to be wrong. 我的建議證明是錯(cuò)的.三、語法：條件狀語從句（一）：主將從現(xiàn)主將從現(xiàn)指if條件狀語從句用一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)，主句用一般將來時(shí)。e.g. if it doesn’t rain tomorrow, we’ll go to the great wall.如果明天不下雨, 我們就會(huì)去長(zhǎng)城.   if you don’t get up early, you will be late for school.   如果你不早點(diǎn)起床, 你就會(huì)上學(xué)遲到.   if i play games on it, it will go wrong. 如果我用它玩游戲, 它就會(huì)壞掉.這里特別注意if條件狀語從句與if引導(dǎo)的賓語從句之間的區(qū)別：he will call you if he comes back. 如果他回來，他會(huì)給你打電話。（此句if表如果，是條件狀語從句，所以用主將從現(xiàn)。）i don’t know if he will come back. 我不知道他是否會(huì)回來。（此句if表是否，相當(dāng)于whether，引導(dǎo)賓語從句, 所以不遵循主將從現(xiàn)，應(yīng)根據(jù)實(shí)際情況選擇時(shí)態(tài)。）補(bǔ)充：when也有相同的用法。he will call you when he comes back. 當(dāng)他回來的時(shí)候，他會(huì)給你打電話。（此句when表當(dāng)…時(shí)候，是時(shí)間狀語從句，所以用主將從現(xiàn)。）i don’t know when he will come back. 我不知道他何時(shí)會(huì)回來。（此句when表什么時(shí)候，引導(dǎo)賓語從句, 所以不遵循主將從現(xiàn)，應(yīng)根據(jù)實(shí)際情況選擇時(shí)態(tài)。）
