8. it is +adj. +that 從句，it 是形式主語，真正的主語是由that 引導的從句。
9. on every occasion 在每一個場合，occasion 為可數(shù)名詞。
10. dress 給…穿上衣服。put on 表示穿（戴）上的動作，wear 后接衣、襪、鞋、帽或手表、眼鏡、飾物等；have …on…不能用進行時；be in …接服裝、材料、顏色等；in …還可作定語；dress sb /oneself 給別人/自己穿衣服；dressed sb in …給某人穿上…衣服；dress up （sb.）（in…）著裝，打扮，可分開用。
11. but 除…之外，常用于all ，no，nobody，nothing ，anywhere ，what ，who，where 之后，意為除…外什么也沒有。
12. but 和except 的區(qū)別：兩者用法大體相同，可互換使用，但當介詞短語放在句首或句尾時，通常用except 。 在anybody ，anything ，anywhere 之后，but 的語氣比except 強。
13. protect 是及物動詞，后可直接跟名詞或代詞，意為保護，防護。
i will protect your child when he is in danger 。當你的孩子遇到危險時，我會保護他。
14. 比較see sb. doing sth. 看見某人正在做某事.
see sb. do sth. 看見某人做某事了.
如: i saw the boy climbing the wall. 我看見小孩在爬墻.(強調爬墻的情景)
i saw the boy climb the wall. 我看見小孩爬墻了.(強調爬墻這件事)
15. write (a litter)to sb. 給某人寫信 ;
16. give sb. some advice 給某人一些建議.
17. follow / take sb. ’s advice 聽從/采納某人的意見.
18.tell sb. about /of sth. 告訴某人關于某事.
19.had better do sth. 最好做某事,后面接動詞原形.
had better 后跟省to 的不定式,否定形式had better not do…
20.advice sb. to do sth. 建議某人做某事.
21.in 穿著,戴著. in a dark color 穿著暗色;in warm color 穿著暖色.
22.go well 正常運轉,順利. i hope you will go well. 我希望你一切順利.

24. well – known 眾所周知,著名的,出名的.相當于famous

as 以什么樣的產(chǎn)地或地方而出名
