 (1) the same …as 用來表示前后兩者的相同或相似。as 是關系代詞引導一個定于從句(常用省略結構)，as 不能換成that 或which.  e.g.
i have the same idea as you ._____________________

(2) the same …that 用來表示前后的事物為同一事物，that 是關系代詞，引導一個定語從句。 e.g.
this is the same pen that i lost yesterday .__________________________________.
(3) the same with 后跟sb 表示后面某人的情況與前面所講相同  e.g.
  he is diligent and gets up early. it is the same with me./ so it is with me.
he is not good at maths but he is good at english .it is the same with me./ so it is with me.
(4) the same to 常用于別人祝賀你回敬對方的用語（雙方都有共同的情景），也可以表示“無關緊要之意。 a: happy new year to you ! b: the same to you !
