5XX年寫(xiě)作:509。讀作:five hundred and nine或five o nine
3、兩位數(shù)的年份,直接按基數(shù)詞讀出。如:
公元前59年寫(xiě)作:59 b.c. 讀作:fifty-nine b.c. (b.c. /`bi：`si：/是英文before christ/kraist/的縮寫(xiě),用在年份后,表示"公元前……年"。)
公元8年寫(xiě)作:8 a.d. 讀作:eight a.d.(a.d.是拉丁文anno domini /` aneu`dcminai/的縮寫(xiě),用在年份后,表示"公元……年"。在不會(huì)引起誤解的情況下常將其省略。)
二、月份
月份開(kāi)頭第一個(gè)字母必須大寫(xiě)。"……月上/中/下旬"的表達(dá)方式為:early/mid/late 月份名稱。如:
early february二月上旬；mid-february二月中旬；late february二月下旬。
三、日期
日期用序數(shù)詞表示,書(shū)寫(xiě)時(shí),序數(shù)詞前的the和詞尾(-st,-nd,-rd,-th)可省略,但讀時(shí)要念出來(lái)。如:
4月21日寫(xiě)作:april 21(st)讀作：the twenty-first of april(英)/april twenty-first(美)
四、年月日
表示某年某月某日,按"月份 日期的序數(shù)詞 年份"寫(xiě)出,年份前常用逗號(hào)。如:1993年9月2日寫(xiě)作:september 2(nd), 1993
當(dāng)月、日完全用阿拉伯?dāng)?shù)字表示時(shí),英美人的表達(dá)習(xí)慣不同,英國(guó)人把日放在月之前,美國(guó)人把月放在日之前。如6/5在英國(guó)表示may the sixth,而在美國(guó)則表示june the fifth。
