［析］ without其后接動名詞或名詞而不接從句。

［正］ this girl is looking for a job at the bank.
［析］ "找工作"一般應(yīng)為to find a job，而works作為"工作"講為不可數(shù)名詞，不能加不定冠詞，也不可用復(fù)數(shù)。當(dāng)work作為"作品"、"著作"講時，為可數(shù)名詞，如： t his painting is on e of his great works. 而works作為"工廠"講時單復(fù)數(shù)形式相同，如：an iron works或two iron works. 作主語時其謂語動詞可用單數(shù)，如： the steel works is closed for the holidays.
