⒊關(guān)系副詞why的用法　　
當(dāng)定語從句的先行詞是reason時(shí)，關(guān)系副詞用why＝for which，常用the reason why/for which…。　　
we don’t know the reason why he hasn’t come yet.＝we don’t know the reason for which he hasn’t come yet.　　
㈣限制性定語從句與非限制性定語從句　　
限制性定語從句是先行詞在意義上不可缺少的修飾成分，如果去掉，主句的意思就不完整或失去意義，這種定語從句與主句的關(guān)系十分密切，與主句之間不能用逗號分開。　　
非限制性定語從句與主句關(guān)系不十分密切，只是對先行詞作附加說明，如果去掉，主句的意思仍然完整。這種定語從句與主句之間往往用逗號分開，不用that引導(dǎo)。　　
①he has two sisters, who work as reporters.他有兩個(gè)姐姐，她們是記者。(他只有兩個(gè)姐姐。)　　
②mrs wang, who taught me english 21 years ago, is living in beijing now.　　
③glass, which breaks easily, should be put softly.　　
④the film assembly, which was directed by feng xiaogang, won an award in beijing. 　　
⑤she married joseph, which surprised everyone. (關(guān)系代詞which代替一個(gè)從句，而不僅是一個(gè)詞)
