1. 談論圖片所表達的信息,引出medical research,save money。
2.teacher:we are going to a conversation about their ideas about how to spend a million dollars.
讓學生聽對話,寫出相應的順序。

二、教學sectiona 2a和2b
teacher:what would you do if you went to a party?
what would you wear?
what would you bring?
what would you talk to?
teacher:i think you’d feel nervous. do you think so ?
students:……
teacher: why is larry nervous?
步驟:初步聽信息,由學生給出答案,如果不同意見教師進行解釋,最后給出正確答案。
2.listen again.check the four things larry’s sister says to him.
利用多媒體課件中的sectiona 2a和2b的內(nèi)容,讓學生聽并選擇答案。
step 6:do exercises 課堂測試
step 7: sum up 讓學生總結我們學了什么。
鞏固主要詞匯和句型,讓學生在學習中通過接受新知識、觀察知識結構,學會歸納總結,進一步培養(yǎng)他們主動獲取知識和信息的能力。
step 8: homework
自己想像一些情景用所學句型描述出來,可以用對話的形式。

如果他學習的話,他可能會通過考試。(事實上他不用功)

如果我早點到那兒,我就會見到她。(事實上,我去晚了。)

六、重點難點釋義:
1. he doesn’t know if he should bring a present.
此處 if 表示“是否”, 引導賓語從句。should此處表示“應該”, 不是虛擬語氣。
eg. ①. i don’t know if i should go to the party.
②. if i have enough money, i will go to hainan.
present 在這是“禮物”的意思。
2. if i were you, i’d wear a shirt and tie.
