what do you know about william shakespeare? he was a playwright, and the best poet that ever lived in england. he wrote many famous plays like romeo and juliet, the merchant of venice, king john, and henry vi. the most famous play we have ever read is hamlet, one of his four great tragedies.( the other three are othello, king lear and macheth.)

of course, people love the play. when it was on, people loved hamlet, they cried for poor ophelia’s death, and they shouted for the murder. claudius, to die. it was reported that once two thousand people went to the globe theater to watch the play hamlet.
what else do you know about shakespeare? there isn’t a complete report of his life, but it is commonly accepted that he was born on april 23, 1564 in stratford-upon-avon. we are also told that he was the third of the eight children and he was probably educated at the local grammar school, where the main subject taught was latin, both spoken and written. maybe the classical writer’s they had studied in the classroom influence shakespeare’s plays and poetry, so he gave us so many vivid characters in his works. it is not known what shakespeare did when he left school, probably at the age of fourteen, as was usual. but it is said that in november 1582 he married anne hathaway, the daughter of a local farmer. it is also said that when they were married william was eighteen and anne was twenty-six.
