■句型
mario，you used to be short，didn't you?
瑪利奧，你過(guò)去個(gè)子矮，是不是?
【精解】used to意為“過(guò)去經(jīng)常；以前常常”，后跟動(dòng)詞原形，“used to do sth.”這一結(jié)構(gòu)表示“過(guò)去常常做某事”，暗指現(xiàn)在不再做了。

【辨析】used to do/be(get)used to doing/be used to do/be used for/be used by
①be（get）used to doing意為“習(xí)慣于……”，短語(yǔ)中的to為介詞，后跟動(dòng)名詞。
②be used to do意為“被用來(lái)做某事”；be used for意為“被用于做某事”,后跟動(dòng)名詞；be used by意為“被……使用”,后跟動(dòng)作的執(zhí)行者。三個(gè)短語(yǔ)都是use的被動(dòng)語(yǔ)態(tài)。

■語(yǔ)法
used to結(jié)構(gòu)
①used to的用法
used to表示“過(guò)去經(jīng)常；以前常常”，指過(guò)去的習(xí)慣性動(dòng)作或狀態(tài)，現(xiàn)在已不再存在，其中to是動(dòng)詞不定式符號(hào)，后接動(dòng)詞原形。
例如：mother used to get up early.我媽媽過(guò)去經(jīng)常起得很早。
②一般疑問(wèn)句：used sb.to...或did sb.use to...
否定句:used to的否定形式為didn't use to或usedn't to，口語(yǔ)中常用usedn't to。
