一、 教學目標
1、知識目標：學習本單元的詞匯和句型結構
1） 詞匯：
think of, soap, soap opera, situation, sitcom, nothing, ha, listing, mind, How about…?, super, host, agree, clip, hair clip, key ring, belt, wallet, fashion, opinion, idea, colorful
2） 句型結構：

二、 教學重、難點
1、重點：
學習及掌握陳述自己的看法、意見及喜好的詞匯和基本句型。
2、難點：
正確運用What do you think of …? 及I like/love/don’t like/can’t stand…等句型結構來表達對客觀事物的評價。
三、 難點注釋：
1、think of =think about 認為
What do you think of this movie?
What does your father think of his boss?
2、I don’t mind them. 我不介意他們。
mind: 介意；在乎；反對。多用于以下句型：（表示請求或征求意見）
Would you mind doing …? Would you mind opening the door?
Do you mind …? Do you mind my dog?
3、I can’t stand it! 我不能忍受它/我受不了它！
stand: 順利接受；忍受（多用于否定句、疑問句）
I can’t stand the movie! It is too boring!
4、I do, too. / I don’t, either. 我也… / 我也不…
too 與either的區別：too“也”， 表示肯定意義，與肯定的表達方法連
用；而either “也不”，表示否定意義，與否定的表達方法連用。
--My brother likes to play soccer. ?I do, too.
--My brother doesn’t like to play soccer. ?I don’t, either.
5、a thirteen-year-old boy 一個十三歲的男孩
此結構中，year用單數形式，且用連字符，類似的結構還有：
five-month-old baby 五個月大的嬰兒
試比較：
He is a student. He is thirteen years old.
He is a thirteen-year-old student.
6、Cooking is for moms! 做飯是媽媽們的事！
cooking在這是動詞+ing（動名詞）形式，表示“做飯”這件事，類似的
例句還有：
Studying is for students.
Watching talk shows is very boring.
7、Thanks for joining us. 多謝加入我們。
Thanks for / thank you for后面接名詞、代詞或動名詞，表示感謝的原因；
Thanks for helping me with my English.
Thank you for inviting us to your party.
8、hair clip 發卡
有關hair的其他幾個常見短語：
hair band 發帶, hair cut發型，發式；理發（名詞）, hair dresser理發師
9、enjoy reading 喜愛 / 享受閱讀
enjoy 后面接名詞、代詞或動名詞，注意與like / love用法的區別，如：
I enjoy / like /love the movie.
I enjoy / like / love watching the movie.
但我們不能說：I enjoy to watch the movie.
只能說：I like / love to watch the movie.
10、I can’t stand the idea that old people can’t be beautiful. 我不能忍受老年人
不能漂亮的觀點。
這是一個由that 引導的定語從句。情態動詞can及其否定形式can’t后只能接動詞原形，如要接形容詞，形容詞前必須加be動詞。

2、教學設計建議
1) 第一課時（Section A 1a-1c）
a. 有條件學校建議使用：
步驟1 在多媒體上展示下列食物的圖片：pizza, broccoli, ice cream, mushrooms, apples, milk等，談論自己對這些食物的喜好，介紹如何詢問對方的觀點以及如何陳述自己的看法和意見。介紹下列結構：
What do you think of pizza / mushrooms?
I love them / it.
I like them / it.
I don’t mind them / it.
I don’t like them / it.
I can’t stand them / it.
步驟2 練習步驟1中的句型結構，要求學生就所給出的圖片進行練習，詢問對方就某種物品的觀點，并表達自己的看法和意見。
步驟3 對話表演。
步驟4 談論周末活動，What do you usually do on weekends? 當有學生談到watch TV時，開始介紹電視節目的種類。
步驟5 播放電視節目片段或圖片，介紹電視種類并表達對此種電視的看法。可供選擇的電視節目：足球之夜（Football Night），實話實說(Tell it like it is)，我愛我家(I love my family)，幸運52(Lucky 52)，流星花園(Meteor garden)等。可適當補充：CCTV 新聞（CCTV News），天氣預報（Weather Report），人與自然（Man and Nature），周末漫談（Weekend Chat），今日英語（English Today），卡通世界（Cartoons），健康生活（Healthy Living），中國烹飪（Chinese Cooking），動物世界（Animal World ）等。
完成任務需要的詞匯及句型結構：

步驟2 通過多媒體展示各式各樣的能吸引學生興趣的物品。如：高級轎車（cars），牛仔褲（jeans），耐克運動鞋（sports shoes），肯得基快餐店（KFC），等。引導學生對這些物品發表評論，并正確對待高消費和不健康的生活方式。
步驟3 活動：實物展示，讓學生自由評價這些物品。展示的實物至少應該包括1a中所出現的物品，如：皮帶（belt），太陽鏡（sunglasses），表（watch），發卡（hair clip），鑰匙環（key ring），圍巾（scarf），錢夾（wallet）等。學生自由交談對所陳列的物品的意見，并形成對話。
