  if you want to know somebody’s opinions, you can use this sentence.

  “what do you think of …?”  你認(rèn)為…怎么樣?(把你要問的事物放在think of 的后面。)

  and you can answer the question like these:

  too, either 的意思都是“也”,但用法上略有不同。另外,與之相似的詞還有“also”

  — also用于肯定句,通常位于be動詞、助動詞和情態(tài)動詞之后,實意動詞前。

  例如:i also want some tea. (我也要茶。)

  —     too用于肯定句,比also更通俗,常放在句末。

  例如:he loves beijing opera, and i love it too. 他喜歡京劇,我也喜歡。

  —     either用于否定句,只放在句末。

  例如:i can’t speak french, he can’t speak it either. 我不會講法語,他也不會。

  where did ------? 是一般過去時的一般疑問句,did是助動詞.在一般疑問句中,只要加了助動詞,或didn’t 構(gòu)成的否定句,,句子謂語動詞變?yōu)樵?

  昨天你做什么了?

  did they finish the work?

  他們把工作完成了嗎?

  i didn’t ask him about his study.

  我沒有問他關(guān)于學(xué)習(xí)的事.

  2. on vacation  在假期. vacation 的同義詞是holiday,

  例: we went to our hometown during the vacation.

  假期我們回;老家了.

  where did you go for your vacation .

  你去哪里度假了?

  3. went 是go 的過去式, go to the mountain是去登山,

  例: why didn’t you go to the mountains with them?

  問什么你不和他們一起去登山呢?

  go to 是固定詞組, 后加名詞做賓語, 若賓語是副詞,, 則to 省略.

  例:he went to school when he was five.

  他五歲時上學(xué).

  let’s go home together.

  我們一起回家吧.

  類似的詞組還有:  go to the beach, go to new york, go to summer camp.

  2. it was sunny and hot all day.

  全天陽光燦爛,天氣很熱.

  was 是is 的過去式, 句子的主語是單數(shù), 若主語是復(fù)數(shù), 謂語動詞的過去式則用were.

  i was at school yesterday.  昨天我在學(xué)校.\

  they were all here,  他們都在這里.

  sunny和hot 在句子中做表語,

  eg. it’s hot and wet today.

  今天又熱又濕.

  all day,是全天,整天的意思, 可以直接修飾表示時間的單數(shù)詞語,來構(gòu)成副詞短語. 類似的詞組還有all night,  all week, all summer, all year.

  例: i lived in the seaside all summer.

  整個夏天我住在海邊.

  it’s very cold all year.

  整年都很冷.

  3. we had great fun playing in the water.

  我們在水中玩的開心.

  fun 是不可數(shù)名詞, 不可與冠詞連用. 但可以和a lot, some, much  等連用.

  例: we had a lot of fun at the party.

  have fun doing 是固定句式, 類似的句式還有have a good time doing, have some question doing,.

  例: it’s great fun playing golf.

  打高爾夫球很有意思.

  they had a good time swimming in the lake yesterday .

  昨天下午他們在湖水里游地真開心.

  children had some trouble climbing the hill last week.

  孩子們上周爬山時遇到了麻煩.

  1、think of =think about 認(rèn)為

  What do you think of this movie?

  What does your father think of his boss?

  2、I don’t mind them. 我不介意他們。

  mind: 介意;在乎;反對。多用于以下句型:(表示請求或征求意見)

  Would you mind doing …? Would you mind opening the door?

  Do you mind …? Do you mind my dog?

  3、I can’t stand it! 我不能忍受它/我受不了它!

  stand: 順利接受;忍受(多用于否定句、疑問句)

  I can’t stand the movie! It is too boring!

  4、I do, too. / I don’t, either. 我也… / 我也不…

  too 與either的區(qū)別:too“也”, 表示肯定意義,與肯定的表達(dá)方法連

  用;而either “也不”,表示否定意義,與否定的表達(dá)方法連用。

  --My brother likes to play soccer. ?I do, too.

  --My brother doesn’t like to play soccer. ?I don’t, either.

  5、a thirteen-year-old boy 一個十三歲的男孩

  此結(jié)構(gòu)中,year用單數(shù)形式,且用連字符,類似的結(jié)構(gòu)還有:

  five-month-old baby 五個月大的嬰兒

  試比較:

  He is a student. He is thirteen years old.

  He is a thirteen-year-old student.

  6、Cooking is for moms! 做飯是媽媽們的事!

  cooking在這是動詞+ing(動名詞)形式,表示“做飯”這件事,類似的

  例句還有:

  Studying is for students.

  Watching talk shows is very boring.

  7、Thanks for joining us. 多謝加入我們。

  Thanks for / thank you for后面接名詞、代詞或動名詞,表示感謝的原因;

  Thanks for helping me with my English.

  Thank you for inviting us to your party.

  8、hair clip 發(fā)卡

  有關(guān)hair的其他幾個常見短語:

  hair band 發(fā)帶, hair cut發(fā)型,發(fā)式;理發(fā)(名詞), hair dresser理發(fā)師

  9、enjoy reading 喜愛 / 享受閱讀

  enjoy 后面接名詞、代詞或動名詞,注意與like / love用法的區(qū)別,如:

  I enjoy / like /love the movie.

  I enjoy / like / love watching the movie.

  但我們不能說:I enjoy to watch the movie.

  只能說:I like / love to watch the movie.

  10、I can’t stand the idea that old people can’t be beautiful. 我不能忍受老年人

  不能漂亮的觀點。

  這是一個由that 引導(dǎo)的定語從句。情態(tài)動詞can及其否定形式can’t后只能接動詞原形,如要接形容詞,形容詞前必須加be動詞。
