t: it is very difficult to build such a railroad. how about the first railroad in china? do you know the  name?

have ss describe the picture ,then the teacher describe it again  for summary ,
step 4 :activity one
t: now it’s  the great time to  get close to zhan tianyou. now open your book and do activity one. li sten carefully and use the words to fill the blanks.
t: let’s check answers one by one.
step5 :activity two
listen to the tape ,and answer two questions. what were they talking about? when did zhan tianyou die?(ss answer)
