1. else 別的，其它的；此外
else多用于疑問詞和不定代詞后面。
e.g. what else do you want?
　　 你還要什么？
　　 when else can we come again?
　　 我們什么時候還能來呢？
　　 did you see anybody else?
　　 你還看到別的人沒有？
　　 have you anything else to do?
　　 你有別的事情要做嗎？
　　 is there anything else?

2. invite 動詞　邀請
invite sb. to some place　邀請某人到某地
invite sb. to do sth.　邀請某人做某事
e.g. he invites me to his birthday party.
　　 他邀請我到他的生日晚會去。
　　 can i invite you to my home?
　　 我能邀請你到我家去嗎？
　　 he invites me to go to wuhan.
　　 他邀請我到武漢去。
3. help 動詞　幫，幫忙
e.g. i can’t lift this box, please help me.
　　 我一個人提不動這箱子，請幫助我。
※help sb. with sth.　幫助某人某事
help sb (to) do sth.　幫助某人干某事
e.g. my teacher often helps me with my english.
　　 =my teacher often helps me (to) learn my english.
　　 我的老師經常幫助我學英語。
　　 he often helps me with my homework.
　　 =he often helps me to do my homework.
　　 他經常幫助我做作業。
4. put up 搭起；建起
e.g. they put up a tent.
　　 他們搭起帳蓬。
　　 i can put up the toy house.
　　 我能搭起這個玩具房子。
put up還有“舉起；張貼；公布；掛起”的意思。
e.g. put up your hands, please.請舉手。
　　 he put up the photo of his father on the wall.
　　 他把他父親的相片貼在墻上。
　　 he put up some colourful lights on the christmas tree.
　　 他在圣誕樹上掛彩燈。

詹妮和李明正在為上學做準備。
※get ready for為……做準備
e.g. they students are getting ready for the test.
　　 學生們正在為考試做準備。
　　 his family are all getting ready for his birthday party.

　　 ※get ready to do sth.準備做某事
e.g. we are getting ready to run.我們準備去跑步。

2. li ming puts on his scarf, hat and mitts, too.
李明戴上圍脖、帽子和手套。
（1）※put on意為“穿上，戴上”，強調“穿”的動作。
　　 e.g. he put on his coat and went out.
　　 　　 他穿上外套然后出去了。
　　 　　 put on your sweater, or you’ll feel cold.
　　 　　 穿上你的毛衣，要不然你會感到冷的。
　　 ※wear意為“穿著，戴著”，強調“穿”的狀態。
