【教具準備】
1本課生詞的單詞卡片或圖片。（giraffe ,deer, tall, short）
2.句子的卡片。look at the giraffe. it’s so tall. yeah, you’re right. the giraffe is tall.
3.教學課件。
4.學生一人一張長頸鹿和梅花鹿的圖片。
【教學過程】
一、熱身/復習
1.播放三年級上冊第四單元b部分的歌謠。（chant）
2.課件出現竹子，讓學生想起熊貓panda。出現骨頭，讓學生想起狗dog。出現胡蘿卜，讓學生復習兔子rabbit。出現榛子，讓學生復習松鼠squirrel。師：look at the…,it’s cute/ funny/lovely/smart.
二、呈現新課
1、通過長頸鹿的長脖子和雄鹿頭上的角，引出giraffe和deer.這兩種動物，操練這兩個新單詞。
2.師：look at the giraffe . look at the deer. where is the difference? 引導學生觀察他們的身高狀況，學習tall 和short.(出示這兩個詞卡)并讓學生到黑板上貼卡片。
tall→giraffe short→deer
3、學習look at the giraffe , it’s so tall .look at the deer. it’s short. 出示it’s so …句型，并貼在黑板上。
4.讓學生操練這句話。如果學生正確將其說出來。老師就說yeah, you’re right.（并用手勢表示）
5.let’s do.(學生出示圖片，并用手比劃高矮)
