step 3 word formation
now, let’s study word formation. first, look at the words on page 6. give two minutes to let students find out the ways of forming a word.
1.some of words are formed with prefixes in front of the stems.
2.some of words are formed with suffixes at the end of the strems.
3.mankind and broadband are compounds, hi-tech and e-mail are short forms; it and csa are also short forms.
look at the blackboard and guess the meaning of these affixes.
