一、 單元分析 (unit analysis)
(一) 單元地位 (unit position)
1. 本課以杰妮像一塊磁鐵受人歡迎,引出幾條交友的策略。讓學生了解到一個人的長相和才能不足以使她如此受歡迎,那么,什么樣的個人品質會使每個人都喜歡她呢?教師可圍繞這一問題,設計活動讓學生參與口語討論。除了談論課文中提到的幾條策略以外,讓學生進一步思考如何交友和如何保持友誼的秘訣和策略,在自身個性的塑造方面,反思不足。
2. 圍繞本課主題“交友”,學生探討交友中要注意的“dos” 和 “don’ts”. 并在此基礎上描述 “friendship” “true friendship” “friends” “a good friend” “the need of friend” “making friends” “how to make friends” “my ideal friend” “on making friends” “on friendship”
3. 本課出現了新的語法現象――由it引導的強調句句型:it is/was+被強調的部分+that/who+句子其余部分。課文中出現的句子有: (1)what was it about jamie that made everyone notice her? (2)it is learning when to talk that is important. 對于這一語法現象,教師有必要在教學中加以一定的句型操練。
(二) 單元目標 (unit target)
1. 了解友誼的真諦和交友以及維持友誼的方法。
2. 理解由it引導的強調句句型。
3. 學會聽取確切的信息并加以復述。
4. 練習基本的閱讀技巧,學會記筆記。
5. 學習描寫人物個性和表達喜歡或不喜歡。
