(1）insist on sth./doing sth.堅持；堅決主張；固執(zhí)地聲稱

(2）insist所跟的賓語從句中，如果一件事情已經(jīng)做過，表示堅持說，從句時態(tài)跟謂語動詞時態(tài)變化；而當(dāng)一件事情尚未做，表示堅決主張怎樣時，從句常用should do表虛擬。
