【點撥】typical用法
1. 典型的 e.g. our headmaster is a typical gentleman.我們的校長是一位典型的紳士.
2. sb/ sth is typical of…某人/某事在…中是典型.
e.g. the book is typical of its kind.
這本書在同類書中很典型.
3. it’s typical of sb to do…做…是某人的特點.
e.g. it was typical of him to take hard jobs.搶挑重擔是他的特點.

【點撥】在做某事上有困難用have difficulty (in) doing sth.

【點撥】keep up with跟上；指在同一水平上不落后
catch up with 趕上，在落后的情況下趕上來。
e.g. the work that the class is doing is too difficult for me. i can’t keep up with them
同學們做的作業對我來說太難，我跟不上他們。
e.g. you’ve missed a whole term; you have to work hard to catch up with your classmates.
你錯過了整個一學期。你不得不努力學習，趕上你的同學。

e.g. the characters in the novel are vividly presented.
小說中的人物被描述的很形象。
at present= at the present time在目前
e.g. i’m afraid i can’t help you at present. 恐怕我現在不能幫你。
be present出席，在場
e.g. there were more than 200 present at the meeting. 有200 多人出席了這次會議。
