no sooner...than... 意思是“一……就……”。當(dāng)no sooner置于句首時(shí)，主句要部分倒裝且主句通常用過去完成時(shí)，從句通常用一般過去時(shí)。
類似的有hardly / rarely / scarcely ＋ had ＋主語＋ done ＋ when從句。
表示“一……就……”的詞和短語還有：介詞on / upon＋名詞或動(dòng)詞－ing形式，as soon as, the moment / minute / second / instant, directly, instantly, immediately, hardly...when...
