集體名詞group, class, family, army, enemy等作主語時，如果強調整體，謂語動詞用單數形式；如果強調個體，表示“……中的每一個“時，用復數形式，如：

our group are reading the newspapers.
this group is made up of 14 students.
4. only after her mother came to help her for the first few months was she allowed to begin her project. 她母親頭幾個月來幫過她的忙，這才使她得以考慮自己的計劃
以“only+狀語”開頭的句子要用倒裝，即將助動詞或連系動詞置于主語之前，例如：
only in this way can we learn english better.
注意：如果以“only+主語”開頭的句子不用倒裝，如：
only we can help ourselves.
