注意：在一些固定搭配的動詞短語中，由于動詞和介詞不可分割，因此不能不介詞置于關系代詞之前。如：
this is the pen which i’m looking for.不可以說：this is the pen for which i’m looking for.
⑶. 此類定語從句中應注意介詞的正確選擇
a. 根據后面的動詞和介詞的搭配關系選擇。如:
this is not the book of which the teacher spoke in class.
the two things of which they felt proud were jim’s gold watch and della’s hair.
(be/feel proud of 為固定短語，意為“以。。。。。。為自豪”
b. 根據與前面名詞搭配關系選擇，如：
i’ll never forget the day on which i first met him.
(表示具體的某一天，介詞用on)
c. 有時需要考慮動詞和介詞的搭配關系及介詞和名詞的搭配關系。如：
the clever boy made a hole in the wall, through which he could see what was happening inside the house.
(二)。形容詞的比較等級
1.比較等級的常見句型及其修飾語
（1）。比較等級的常見句型
①. as+原級+as (as+原級+a/an單數可數名詞+as),其否定形式為not as/so +原級+as
②. 比較級+than+ 比較對象
③. 比較級+ and + 比較級或more and more +原級
④. the +比較級。。。，the +比較級。。。
⑤. the +比較級+of the two
⑥. 比較級+than any other +單數名詞
⑦. the + 最高級（單數名詞）+of/among +復數名詞或+in+單數名詞
（2）。比較級等級的修飾詞
①修飾原級：fairly, quite, rather, so, very, too 等。
②修飾比較級：much, even, far, rather , still, any, no, a bit, a little等。
③修飾最高級：by far ,almost, nearly 或序數詞等。
2、最高級的多種表達法
（1）否定詞+比較級
it can’t be worse . 不可能更糟糕了。
（2）more… than the other + 名詞復數；more… than any other + 單數名詞
he is more fit for his office than any other person .
他比其他人都稱職。
（3）no… + 比較級+ than…
no avice is better than this .
沒有比這更好的建議了。
（4）no… as + 原級+as …
no doctor is as excellent as tom’s father .
沒有比湯姆的父親更優秀的醫生。
（5）the least + 原級 + 比較范圍
this watch is the least expensive of all.
這塊表是所有表中最便宜的。
（6）less +原級+than
all the other cities are less beautiful than this one .
所有其他城市都不及這座城市漂亮。
3、形容詞最高級前不用the 的場合
（1）形容詞最高級用于同自身不同場合相比較時不帶the . 如：
i’m busiest on sundays. 我在周日最忙。
（2）形容詞最高級前有物主代詞、名詞所有格時不帶the. 如：
jane is the old man’s eldest girl. 簡是老人最大的女兒。
（3）兩個或多個形容詞最高級并列使用，從第二個起就不帶the . 如：
tom is the youngest and tallest boy in our class.
湯姆是我們班上最高、最年輕的男孩。
（4）形容詞最高級在句中作賓語補足語時常不帶the . 如：
we fin listening hardest in our english study .
我們發現學習英語最難的是聽。
（5）most 常和多音節形容詞連用構成最高級，但most 前the 或有 a 時，most
相當于very. 如：
this is most difficult problem to solve .
這個問題很難解決。
（6）某些習慣表達法中的形容詞最高級常常不帶the . 如：
with best wishes 致以最好的祝愿
