unit4  holidays and festivals一.                     單元分析（unit analysis）（一）單元地位（unit position）1.         本課在對多個節日的描述時，談及了這些假日里的一些風俗習慣。教師可以圍繞“節日”這一主題，設計活動讓學生參與信息搜索，可以通過對一整年節日以及該節日的歷史和所遵循的習俗進行羅列，更深入地感受不同地域的不同文化背景盡可能地讓學生發揮主動性，以期達到最佳的學習效果。2.         充分利用本課的“定語從句”現象，設計對話，小品等形式，讓學生在模擬情境中運用和鞏固語法現象，從而更牢固地掌握定語從句地運用。3.         本單元結束時，利用本課“節日”這一主題，讓學生圍繞一年四季的各個節日，收集各自的歷史，習俗，以小組為單位出一份節日海報布置教室，在掌握知識，了解習俗的同時，也美化了教室。4.         在語法方面，本課繼續出現了定語從句。課文在對多種節日進行描述時，要充分運用定語從句進行操練。如，easter monday is a bank holiday, on which banks and other major businesses are closed.  in the afternoon, they stay at home and open the gifts that were gathered around the tree. 對于這一語法現象，教師有必要在課堂教學中加強句型操練。（二）單元目標（unit target）           i.              了解一些中外主要節日。2.         復習前三個單元中所學的定語從句的形式和使用方法。3.         學會在聽力中聽取特定信息和主要概述。4.         學會表達節日的美好祝愿，練習陳述技能。例如，談論節日。5.         練習三大閱讀技能：skimming, scanning以及利用上下文線索。6.         學會寫復合句。（三）單元重點（unit points）1     關鍵詞：1）  語言知識類：vary, fall in / on, be celebrated with, drive away, in bright colors, sit down to, deliver a message, be connected with, have…off等。2）  交際功能類：new year’s day，the spring festival，lantern festival (lantern dumplings)， valentine’s day，women’s day， arbor day (植樹節)， easter， april fool’s day， tomb-sweeping day， labor day， mother’s day (2nd sunday in may)，children’s day， father’s day (3rd sunday in june)， dragon boat festival，mid-autumn festival，teacher’s day，double ninth day (重陽節)，national day，halloween (oct. 31)， thanks-giving day，christmas， chinese valentine’s day。
