anxious 形容詞，意為“焦急的、擔憂的”，常用的詞組有：
be anxious for sth. = be anxious about sth. = be worried about sth. 擔憂某事
mrs smith is worried about her weight. = mrs smith is anxious for her weight.
mrs smith 擔憂她的體重。
i was anxious for everything to be settled.
我希望把一切都解決。
be anxious to do 急切想要做某事
i am a little anxious to see you. 我是有點急切想見到你。
8. pretend
pretend作及物動詞，意為“假裝”，后接動詞不定式to do或that從句。
1）pretend to do sth 假裝做某事
he pretended to be friendly with me. 他假裝對我友善。
don’t pretend to know when you don’t. 不要不懂裝懂。
2）pretend + that從句
she pretended that she was not at home when we rang the bell.
當我們打電話時，她假裝不在家。
we pretended nothing had happened. 我們假裝什么事情也沒發生。

1）chase作及物動詞 ，意為“追逐;追捕”。
the cat chased the mouse. 貓追老鼠。
