一、教學內(nèi)容
本課內(nèi)容是仁愛英語九年級下冊第一單元話題三section c，通過閱讀課文，了解edmonton community services為流浪兒做了那些工作，以及這些流浪兒在這個社區(qū)服務(wù)中心應(yīng)該如何遵守規(guī)章制度。
二、教學目標
根據(jù)英語課程標準的描述，結(jié)合本課教學內(nèi)容，教學目標制定如下：
1. 語言知識目標：
目標詞匯：skill drug steal purpose disobey
目標詞組：edmonton community services street kids kids in the hall
take drugs
目標句子：it is called edmonton community services.
it is famous for its success in helping homeless people return to normal life.
if anyone takes drugs, steal things or disobey other rules, he can’t stay in the program。
2. 語言技能目標：
通過閱讀賞析，使學生了解社會服務(wù)機構(gòu)，并能表達社區(qū)服務(wù)中心為社會所做的貢獻，以及受助人員應(yīng)該如何做才能回報社會。
3. 情感態(tài)度目標：
通過社區(qū)服務(wù)中心的具體描述，增強學生的同情心和社會責任感，使學生熱愛祖國，珍惜今天來之不易的幸福生活。
三、教學重點和難點：
1. 重點
閱讀課文，了解課文所表達的主要內(nèi)容，回答有關(guān)課文的主要問題。如何用自己的行動來幫助流浪兒。
2. 難點
如何通過自己的語言描述課文的主要內(nèi)容。
四、教學方法
1. 教學設(shè)備：錄音機 卡片
2. 教法：任務(wù)型語言教學法
五、學情
本課學習的對象是初三年級的學生, 他們在本單元所學的現(xiàn)在完成時以及一些詞組、句型有所了解，所以本課的重點是整體閱讀、感知，讓學生在自主、合作、探究學習的氛圍中體驗并運用語言，特別重要的一點是設(shè)置任務(wù)要有梯度，讓學生由淺入深的掌握。
六、教學過程
step 1 lead in
播放歌曲《愛的奉獻》引出本課的主題—社區(qū)服務(wù)中心。接著利用卡片和板書，切入主題。today we’re goning to learn about a famous organization . it is called edmonton community services.接著利用卡片，學習本課的生詞skill drug steal purpose disobey。
step2 group discussion
給為學生提供一些圖片，問學生: have you ever seen any homeless people?然后分小組討論以上問題并交換看法： what can we do to help them?
step3 reading
1. skiming (personal work)
從問題討論過渡到edmonton community services，讓學生進行課文學習。let the students read the passage as quickly as possible and then find out the phrases they can’t understand.
2. scaning(group work)
let the students read the passage again and write down the answers on the paper.
