3. 含有復合賓語的主動結構變為被動結構時，必須是主要謂語動詞的賓語變為主語，不要把充當賓語補足語的不定式中的賓語變為主語。例如：
the teacher told us to read the text slowly.
we were told to read the text slowly.
如果名詞充當賓語補足語時，也不要把這個名詞變為被動結構的主語。例如：
people call him uncle tom.
he is called uncle tom.
4. 主動結構中賓語的定語，要隨賓語變為被動結構，作主語的定語。主動結構的狀語的位置一般不變。例如：
she often told us stories about edison.
stories about edison were often told to us.
we use a recorder in our class.
a recorder is used in our class.
5. 短語動詞在主動結構中是一個不可分割的詞組，在被動結構中也是如此，不可丟掉后面的介詞或副詞。例如：
we turn on the street lights at 7:30 in the evening.
the street lights are turned on at 7:30 in the evening.
6. 有些感官動詞例如see, hear, watch等及使役動詞如make, have, let后面的賓語，如接不定式作為其賓語補足語時，該不定式不能帶to。結構如下：主語+感官動詞（或使役動詞）+賓語+不帶to的不定式（作賓補），但當上列結構由主動語態變為被動語態時，不帶to的不定式須換成帶to的不定式。例如：
we saw him cross the street.  （主動，不帶to）
he was seen to cross the street.  （被動，to）
7. 不及物動詞及不及物動詞詞組均不能用被動語態，有些不能表示動作的狀態動詞，如have, fit等，通常不能用于被動語態。例如：
they have a nice house. 不能說 a nice house is had by them.
my shoes don’t fit me. 不能說 i am not fitted by my shoes.
