what about + 名詞/ 代詞/ doing sth./ when 從句
意思是 “……怎么樣？”“…行嗎？”（用于征求意見，詢問消息）
① i’m twelve years old, what about you? 我十二歲，你呢？（后接代詞）
② —what about some cakes?  吃點蛋糕好嗎？
—oh! thank you. 啊，太感謝了。 （后接名詞）
③ what about going to fly kites?
我們去放風箏怎么樣？ （后接動名詞）
④ —we stand up when the teacher comes in. 老師進來時我們起立。
—what about when he leaves? 老師離開時怎么做？ （后接從句）
what about 的同義詞組為how about, 其用法和 what about 一樣。
⑤how about playing football now? 現在踢足球怎么樣？ （后接doing）
⑥ how about coming with us to the club?
和我們去俱樂部，怎么樣？ （后接doing）

hear of 聽說，得知 = hear about
①  i’ve never heard of anyone doing that. 我從未聽說有人做那種事。

—i’ve never heard of him. 我從沒聽說過他。

你有沒有聽說朱莉婭到上海來了？

twin 與 twins
twin  n. &. adj. “雙胞胎之一”，只用作定語,
常與形容詞性物主代詞連用.
復數形式twins,意思是“孿生兒”“雙胞胎”。
① lily is her twin sister. 莉莉是她的孿生姐姐。
twins 可作主語、表語、賓語。
作主語和賓語時常與定冠詞the 連用。如：
② the twins are in the same class.
那對雙胞胎在同一個班級。
拓展：
twins 作主語時，謂語動詞必須用復數形式。
作表語時twins 一般不與the 連用。
③ lily and lucy are twins. 莉莉與露西是雙胞胎。
 
7. does katie want to have another sister?
katie 是否想再要一個姐妹呢？   （l14）
another 用于泛指三個以上的不定數目中的“ 再一，又一”，
后面可以加單數名詞，也可以省略后面的名詞，用作代詞。
① i don’t like this coat. please give me another (one).
我不喜歡這件外套，請再給我拿一件。
▲ another +數字=數字+ more
②i have another three days’ holiday. 我有另外三天假期。

⑤ some are singing, some are drawing, others are swimming.
有些人在唱歌，有些人在畫畫，其他人在游泳。
▲ the others 是指整體中除去一部分之后的全體。
⑥ there are 45 students in our class, and 25 of us are boys, the others are girls.
我們班有45名學生，其中25名是男生，其余的是女生。
