教學內容分析
本單元的核心教學項目是“提供幫助”和“請求幫助”,同時涉及對物品的描述。
第65課是本單元的第一課,也是新學期開學的第一節英語課。第一部分內容是教師Mr Green與值日生Hu Ming的對話,通過對全班學生出勤情況的了解,復習上一學期所學的知識,進而引出本單元的重點語法項目:Hu Ming,could you help me?第二部分通過猜測游戲,引出不定代詞one的用法,復習has的用法。
第66課,第一部分對話引出本單元的核心教學項目:Let me help you.(提供幫助)重點語言項目:That’s a big box.Is it heavy?It’s light / empty.第二部分的兩組對話引出了另一個核心教學項目:Could you help me,please?(請求幫助)以及其他語言項目:I want to take… to…/Let’s put…in…Can you carry it/Certainly!
第67課的三段對話,意思連貫,教學重點仍是本單元的核心教學項目,同時也引出新的語言項目:This bag/box is too big/heavy. We can’t carry it. There! Now give me a bottle of orange juice, please.
第68課是復習課,第一、二部分是單詞的拼寫、發音及重音方面的練習。第三、四部分是用英語描述娃娃以及自己身體的各部分名稱。第五、六部分的兩段對話仍是對本單元的核心教學項目的重點練習。

本單元的重點是掌握提供幫助,請求幫助的交際用語。難點是形容詞的用法。

單詞及短語
full, light, too, carry, bottle, big, small, listen to
1. full在本單元作“滿的”講,其反義詞是empty.例:
(l)The box is full.
(2)The bottles is empty. Could you give me a full one?
full還可以作“飽的”講,其反義詞是hungry.I’m no hungry,I am full.
2. light在本單元作形容詞用,意思是“輕的”,其反義詞是 heavy.例:The box is light, it isn’t heavy.
light還可以作名詞,其意思是“燈”。What’s that?It’s a light.
3. listen to作“聽,傾聽”講,要與hear區別開來。
Listen to him carefully, but I hear nothing.
句子
1. Today is Tuesday, February 18th.
2. Could I have a full one, please?
本句中的 could可以用can來代替。Could I…?或Can I …?都是用來征求對方是否允許自己做某事。但could比can語氣要委婉。
3. I want to take some books to the classroom.
“want”是“想要”的意思。 want to do sth.“想要做某事”
want sth.“想要某物” wan sb.to do sth.“想要某人做某事”
4. Could you help me, please?
5. Now give me a bottle of orange, please.
give sb. sth. =give sth. to sb.

學習形容詞的用法。
(二)疑點
1. Is everyone here today?
(1)該句是日常用語中用來詢問或了解“出勤”、“出席”情況的。其肯定回答形式為: Yes, we are all here today.或Yes, all are here;;其否定回答為: No.或No,… is no here.
(2)當everyone作主語時,謂語動詞用第三人稱的單數形式。
2. Please let me help you
以let開頭的祈使句常用來表示說話人的建議、請求、命令等。“Let sb. do sth.”意思是“讓某人于某事”,“sb.”用賓格。
例如:Let him play games ./Let them have a look at these pictures.
3. Here you are, Dad.
4. What about this blue one?
What about...? 用來征求意見或詢問消息,后面可直接跟名詞、代詞、動名詞。
例如:What about your father? /What about playing basketball this afternoon?
詞匯教學
1.利用圖片或實物教學Tuesday, February, face, eye, ear, leg, hand, mouth, tape, basket, head, nose, hair, arm, foot.
2.借助表情、手勢或動作教學 carry, there, listen to, draw, long, short, heavy, empty, say.
3.創設情景教學Could,help,want to,certainly, too.
口語訓練
1.本單元的口語訓練應結合各課的會話展開。重點圍繞本單元的核心教學項目“Let me help you”.和“Could you help me,please?”教師應充分利用形象性的動作和表演或實物、掛圖、投影片等直觀教具,進行情景對話的教學,組織學生進行口語訓練。比如第66課,教師和學生可以進行以下句型操練:
T: Hi, . . . (人名) ! Could you come here, please?
S: OK. I’m coming, Miss/Mr. …
T: I want to take these books/pears/apples to my office. Could you help me, please?
S: Certainly!
T: Thanks. Let’s put them in the bag/box/basket.
S: OK.
T: The bag/box/basket is heavy/big/full. Can you carry it?
S: Yes, I can.
T: Could you take it to my office?
S: Certainly.
T: Thanks.
S: You re welcome.
然后替換斜線部分的詞,多做幾組練習。有條件的可利用投影或微機呈現替換部分的詞,激發學生的興趣。
比如第67課,可以設計以下的情景對話。
Dad: Let s carry these things to the room.
Mum: OK.
Ann: OK.
Ann: Mum, this bag/box/basket is too heavy/big/full. I can’t carry it. Could you help me, please?
Mum: Certainly. Let me help you. There! OK?
Ann: Thanks. Mum.
Mum: You’re welcome.
Ann: Dad, this desk/table/bike is too heavy. I can’t carry it
Could you help me, please?
Dad: OK! Let me carry it, please. There!

語法教學
本單元的重點語法項目是形容詞,主要是對物品進行的對比性的描述。教師在教學語法時,可補充一些替換練習。
1.實物對比性描述與問答。
(1)This box is heavy. That box is light.
(2) Is this box heavy? Is that box light?
Yes, it is./No, it isn’t.
(3)These baskets are heavy.
Are these baskets heavy?
Yes, they are./No, they aren’t.

能力訓練教學
本單元的核心教學項目是“提供幫助和請求幫助”(Offering help and requesting help)。在整個教學過程中教師應始終圍繞“提供幫助”(Let me help you.)和“請求幫助”(Could you help me, please?)這兩個中心以及其他語言項目:That’s a big box. Is it heavy? No, it’s light/ empty. I want to take …to…/ Let’s put …in…/ Can yon carry it?/I think I can.組織學生進行反復操練,以達到熟練掌握的目的。
學習方法建議
(一)本單元的詞匯比較多,為了便于記憶,學生可以采取如下方法:
1.對比法掌握形容詞eg:light→heavy, full→empty, short→long, etc.
2.借助實物或圖片,學生兩人一組互相提問What’s this?It’s a/an….反復操練,達到熟練掌握的目的。
3.借助表情和手勢創設情景掌握動詞的用法。 A學生做出動詞carry, draw, listen to, help …… 的手勢,B學生說出其英文單詞,然后相互交換。
(二)學生要熟練掌握以下短語和句型。
短語:give sb. sth. ,want to do sth. ,take sth. to, be full of, a bottle of
句型:Could I/you. . . ? What about. . . ?
(三)在熟讀課文的基礎上,學生組成對話小組,參照掛圖進行表演,從而掌握“請求幫助”和“提供幫助”的習慣用法。
