二、句子破譯站
1. “is this your pencil?”和“is that your backpack?”“這是你的鋼筆嗎?”和“那是你的背包嗎?”
這兩個句型都是一般疑問句,is this…?指問話人問較近的人或物,is that…?指問話人問較遠的人或物,回答都是用it來代替this和that,以避免重復使用this和that。
2. what’s this in english? 這個用英語怎么說?
這是一個含有特殊疑問詞“what(什么)”的特殊疑問句。in english 可作“在英語中”或“用英語”解。“in+某種語言”表示“用……語言說”的意思。
3. how do you spell pencil? 你怎樣拼“pencil”這個詞?
(1)此句為特殊疑問句,do是助動詞用來幫助構成疑問句或否定句的。一般疑問句結構為:do+主語+動詞原形+?,其肯定回答為yes,i do. ,否定回答為no,i don’t. 。don’t是do not的縮寫形式。特殊疑問句結構為:疑問詞+do+主語+動詞原形+?,否定句結構為:主語+do+not+動詞原形。第三人稱單數作主語時應將do改為does。
(2)how疑問副詞,在本句中是對某種方式、方法的提問,意思是“怎么樣”。how還可用來表示對健康情況、程度、數量以及價錢等的提問。
三、考點工具箱
1.this,that和it
(1)this和that是指示代詞,it是人稱代詞。
(2)距離說話人近的人或物用this, 距離說話人遠的人或物用that。如:
this is a flower. 這是一朵花。(近處)
that is a tree. 那是一棵樹。(遠處)
(3)放在一起的兩樣東西,先說this, 后說that。如:
this is a pen. that is a pencil. 這是一支鋼筆。那是一支鉛筆。
(4)向別人介紹某人時說this is…, 不說that is…。如:
this is helen. helen, this is tom. 這是海倫,海倫,這是湯姆。
(5)this is 不能縮寫, 而that is可以縮寫。如:
this is a bike. that’s a car. 這是一輛自行車。那是一輛轎車。
(6)打電話時,介紹自己用this, 詢問對方用that。如:
—hello! is that miss green? 喂,是格林小姐嗎?
—yes, this is. who’s that? 是的,我是,你是誰?
注意:雖然漢語中使用“我”和“你”,但英語中打電話時絕不可以說:i am…, are you…?/who are you?
(7)在回答this或that作主語的疑問句時, 要用it代替this或that。如:
①—is this a notebook? 這是筆記本嗎?
—yes, it is. 是的,它是。
②—what’s that? 那是什么?
—it’s a kite. 是只風箏。
(8)it可以指天氣、時間、距離或人,也常用來代替前文中所提到的東西。如:
①it’s a fine day today. 今天是個好天。
②what’s the time? it’s six. 幾點了?六點。
③it’s not far from here. 離這兒不遠。
④—who is it? 誰呀?
—it’s me. 是我。
⑤this is a pen. it’s lily’s. 這是一支鋼筆。它是莉莉的。
2.不定冠詞a和an
a和an都是不定冠詞,表示一(個,支,本,塊……)的意思,但不強調數量概念,而是強調類別,用來限定名詞。a用在輔音素開頭的單數名詞前,如:a pencil(一支鉛筆),a book(一本書);an用在元音音素開頭的名詞前,如an eraser(一塊橡皮)。如果名詞前有修飾語,用a還是用an,則以該修飾語的第一音素決定用a還是用an。如:

一般疑問句和特殊疑問句
(1)一般疑問句有兩種,一種是由be動詞引導的疑問句,另一種是由助動詞或情態動詞引導的疑問句,本單元主要講前一種。
動詞be的一般疑問句的構成是在肯定句的基礎上,將動詞be(am, is, are)移至主語之前,這時動詞be已在句首,第一字母應變為大寫,句末用問號。
肯定句變疑問句的方法可以用口訣“一調二變三問號”來幫助同學們記憶,“一調”是把be提至主語前;“二變”是原主語的大寫改小寫和人稱的改變,1變2、2變1、3自身,即:第一人稱變為第二人稱,第二人稱變為第一人稱,第三人稱不變;“三問號”是句末用問號,用升調讀。對一般疑問句的回答分為肯定和否定回答:作肯定回答先說yes, 再作簡單敘述,作否定回答先說no, 再作簡單的補充回答。如:
①i’m li ming. 我是李明。
are you li ming? 你是李明嗎?
yes, i am. 是的,我是。
②you are twelve. 你12歲。
are you twelve? 你是12歲嗎?
no, i’m not twelve. i’m eleven. 不,我不是12歲,我11歲。
③it’s polly. 它是波利。
is it polly? 它是波利嗎?
④she is an english teacher. 她是英語老師。
is she an english teacher? 她是英語老師嗎?
yes, she is. 是的,她是。
no, she isn’t. 不,她不是。
(2)特殊疑問句的構成及其回答:特殊疑問句是由疑問詞what, where, how, how old來引導的。其結構是疑問詞+be/助動詞/情態動詞+主語,回答時要根據所問的情況回答,不能用yes或no。如:
①what’s this? 這是什么?
it’s a computer. 這是一臺計算機。
②what’s that? 那是什么?
it’s a tv. 那是一臺電視。

將一個陳述句變成一般疑問句通常遵循三變一換原則,那么三變一換原則又指什么呢?
一換:將陳述句中的主語與be位置交換,也就是說把be(am, is, are)提到句首。
三變:
1.將am,is,are的第一個字母由小寫變為大寫形式。
2.將陳述句中第一個單詞的字母由大寫變為小寫形式。
3.將句號變成問號。
例如:the girls are students.
變成一般疑問句為:are the girls students?
(注意:若含有第一人稱的陳述句變一般疑問句,在按照三變一換原則做題的同時,一般把第一人稱改為第二人稱。例如:this is my coat. →is this your coat? iam in class three. →are you in class three?)
我們已經學會了有關be動詞的陳述句變一般疑問句的用法。那么一般疑問句的答語又如何呢?
告訴你幾條規律:
1.要用yes或no來回答。
2.yes或no其后緊跟主語,若主語是一些名詞(如their friends, his sister等),要把它們變成相應代詞(如將their friends變為they, his sister變為she)。
3.最后加上與這些代詞相對應的be動詞。若為否定形式,則還需在be動詞后加not。
例如:is she a student?
肯定回答為:yes, she is.
否定回答為:no, she isn’t.
is her mather a nurse?
肯定回答為:yes, she is.
否定回答為:no, she isn’t.
注意:若一般疑問句的主語為第二人稱,答語中的主語要改為第一人稱。
