教學目標：
能夠通過詢問獲取他人的一些信息，包括職業、工作、工作地點等。
教學重點：
學習與職業相關的單詞。
教學難點：
學習與職業相關的單詞。
課前準備：
1.準備學生卡片、教師卡片、錄音機和磁帶。
2.教師和學生準備相冊。
3.教師準備教學掛圖和圖片。
教學步驟與建議：
1.熱身 / 復習（warming-up / revision）
美化圖片
1）教師把提前準備好的人物職業圖片展示給學生們。每張圖片都是由兩部分組成的，上部分為人物，沒有明顯的職業特征，下部分為工作場所、使用工具或其它與職業相關的內容。
2）每組領取自己喜歡的圖片，然后小組討論，根據圖片的下部分內容確定圖中人物的職業。
3）根據討論結果美化圖片，使其具有明顯的職業特征。
4）每小組展示并解說經過美化的圖片，教師和學生共同評價。
2.新課導入（presentation）
1）教師出示bus conductor人物卡片，與學生展開對話：
t: look, this is my friend, mary.do you like her?
s: yes.
t: do you want to know something about her?
s: yes.
t: then you can ask any question you like.
s1: what does she do?
t: she's a bus conductor.（加入動作和圖解說明）oh, whose mother is a bus conductor?
s2: my mother is a bus conductor.
教師可以變換句子主語，反復練習。如：whose father （sister, ... ）is a bus conductor?
2）教師出示tom一家的畫片，請學生聽對話，通過聽對話確定 tom 一家人的職業。
對話：
a: look at the picture.it's a picture of tom's family.this is his mother and this is his father.
b: what does his father do?
a: he's a vet.he takes care of pets.
b: is his mother a vet, too?
a: no, she isn't.she's a bus conductor.
b: i think this girl is his sister.what does she do?
a: she is a tv reporter.
分組討論tom一家人的職業，確定正確答案，展示討論結果，教師和學生共同評價。
3）教師拿出自己的相冊展示給學生（像冊上的照片較大，利于學生觀看），與學生談論相冊中的人物及職業，涉及到四會單詞：bus driver, son, daughter和四會句子：is your mother a driver? yes, she is.is your father a farmer? no, he isn't.he's a bus driver.教師應適時示范板書。
4）教師把幾張照片從相冊上取下來，貼在黑板上并標號，請學生根據自己的記憶，在自己的練習本上寫出這幾個人物的職業及他們與教師的關系，看誰寫得正確、規范、漂亮。
5）小組討論，核對結果。
6）教師請幾位學生到黑板上板書。教師和學生共同評價。
3.趣味操練（practice）
采訪活動：通過采訪了解本班哪些學生的父母、兄弟、姐妹及朋友是farmer, bus driver, tv reporter, vet。
1）學生拿出自己的小相冊，分組談論相冊中人物的職業及人物之間的關系，引導學生重點圍繞farmer, bus driver, tv reporter, vet等幾個職業進行談論。
2）學生進行采訪活動，重點采訪誰的父母、兄弟、姐妹及朋友是farmer, bus driver, tv reporter, vet。
3）分組交流歸納采訪結果，寫在練習本上。
