一、教材分析：
本模塊以出行旅游為話題，通過大量的語言材料集中展示了紋路、支路、對某一區(qū)域進行描述的語言表達方式，同時對倫敦的一些著名景點和標(biāo)志性建筑物也做了簡單介紹。
二、教學(xué)目標(biāo)：
（一）語言知識目標(biāo)：
1.正確使用下列單詞和短語：
tour, painting, clear, boat, off, tower, get off, turn left, turn right, go along, on the right, on the left.
2.能夠熟練運用下列句型：
take off the boat back…
get off the boat at…
（二）語言技能目標(biāo)：
1.能夠讀懂對地圖的描述，讀懂對某一個地方的描述。
2.能夠根據(jù)地圖講清路線，描述某個地點的位置。
（三）學(xué)習(xí)策略：
1.能夠?qū)⒄Z言學(xué)習(xí)與實際應(yīng)用結(jié)合起來。
2.問路與指路應(yīng)該有禮貌。
（四）情感目標(biāo)：
樂于參加運用英語的實踐活動，樂于了解其他國家的文化。
三、教學(xué)過程：
step1 warming up
ask the students some questions:
where have you been?
have you ever been to london?
which place do you know about london?
which place is the london eye?
step2 reading and vocabulary
1. read the tour of london and follow it on the map.
have the students look at the map and familiarize themselves with the places. explain that they should draw the route given in the passage on their map.
they can then check with a partner.
2. have the students read the passage by themselves. then ask them to find out the following phases.
