基礎知識歸納
1.......we are going to play against another school next week.......我們下周將和另一個學校比賽
句中against為介詞，表示反對，對......對抗。
against常見用法如下：表示反對，其反義詞為for。若表示強烈反對，一般用副詞strongly；經常同那些與之含義相關的動詞連用。如：fight, struggle, protest, argue, guard等
are you for or against the plan?你對這個建議是贊成還是反對呢？
the soldiers fought against the enemies bravely.士兵們勇敢滴反抗敵人。
2.the practice starts at 10 am. we all arrive as early as we can so that we have time to warm up.訓練上午10:00開始，我們盡可能早到，以便于有時間熱身。
（1）as early ass we can盡早；as...as sb can=as...as possible.

（2）so that可引導目的狀語從句，意為以便，目的是，此時so that后面從句中的謂語動詞常和may, can, should等情態動詞連用。也可引導結果狀語從句，意為以致

3.we are training harder than usual because the other team beat us last year.我們訓練比平時刻苦，因為去年別的隊打敗了我們。
辨析：beat與win
都可用作及物動詞，作贏、戰勝講，其區別主要在于賓語的不同。
（1）beat的賓語時比賽、競爭的對手，即指某人或球隊的名詞或代詞
we played very well, and we beat them.我們都打得好，打敗了他們。
（2）win的賓語是比賽、戰爭、獎品等名詞，即race, match, game, competition, war, prize之類的詞。
they won the match this time.這次比賽他們贏了。
4.our coach is pleased because we are playing better as a team now.我們的教練很滿意，因為我們現在作為一個團隊打球打得更好。
pleased是一個形容詞，主語為人，表示是某人高興、愉快的情感或情緒。
be pleased with/about/at sth意為：對......高興（滿意）
be pleased to do sth意為：做......高興。
拓展：please有：請，使滿意 的意思；please sb取悅某人 或 使某人高興；pleasure是名詞。
5.that means we have a better chance of winning.那意味著我們有更好的獲勝的機會。
have a chance of doing sth
=have a chance to do sth
=have an opportunity to do sth
有機會做某事
i have a chance to go to beijing.
=i have a chance of going to beijing.
我有去北京的機會。
6.it’s good to have our fans around.有我們的粉絲在我們周圍真是太好了。
