四、典型病句診斷
1.病句：the woman was said that she had no son.
診斷：the woman was said to have no son.
it was said that the woman had no son.
點撥：表示“據說”可用兩種句型：一種是it is/was+ said +that從句；另一種是據說的人或物為主語，said之后接動詞不定式。
2.病句：the scientist’s theory is proved to be correct.
診斷：the scientist’s theory proves to be correct.
點撥：prove表示“證明是，表明是”時是不及物動詞，類似系動詞，后接名詞或（to be）+形容詞，所以沒有被動式。
3.病句：it is sure that he will come.
診斷：it is certain that he will come.
點撥：sure和certain為“確信，有把握”講時，基本上都能互換，但在it is certain that…句型中，只能使用certain，不能用sure。
4.病句：he is possible to succeed.
診斷：he is likely to succeed.
點撥：possible的主語不能是人，而likely的主語可以是物也可以是人。
5.病句：the teacher as well as his students are present.
診斷：the teacher as well as his students is present.
點撥：as well as連接兩個名詞做主語時，謂語動詞的人稱要與as well as前的名詞保持一致。
6.病句：my clothes is hanging behind the door.
診斷：my clothes are hanging behind the door.
點撥：clothes指各種衣服，做主語時，謂語動詞用復數。
